Life Lately...

                                                                  Life Lately...
A lot has happened since the last time I had a chance to blog. ( Note to self: I need to get better at making time to blog). The last few weeks of May have been filled with exciting moments for our family. This post will be filled with highlights of those moments to get everyone, including myself caught up. So where do I start?? First of  we have had... 1. Case of strep                                                   2. Sinus infections.                                           3. Migraine (first one in a long time).         4. We have a Prek graduate.                           5. We now have a 3rd grader & 5th grader ( how did that happen? .                   6. Church carnival, Main Street festival, zoo trips, and a Luau Bash which means ONE thing SUMMER BREAK has Officially Ade its way to Casa De Vega! Can I get an AMEN!!!
Makinnley brought this cap and gown picture home before she graduated and talk about melting a momma's heart! Isn't it just the most precious thing! Makinnley had such amazing teachers, we are so thankful for Mrs. Gilchrist and Mrs. Skylar.
We have a Prek Graduate! They performed a musical and it was adorable. I'm so proud of her and can't wait to see what kind of Kindergarten adventures awaits her.
Sweet Makenzie has a great 2nd grade year. She got involved in everything she could. She tried out for the spelling bee, quiz bowl, but she was most proud of her the metal she earned for P.E. she worked so hard day after day at home learning how to do push ups ( bless her heart she has her moms upper body strength, which is zero to none). She pushed her self and worked hard and earned herself that shinny P.E. metal. She has officially moved up to a new school. She is beyond excited.
This goofy girl and her friends earned lots of awards at their school assembly. This is Makayla's last year in elementary school ( talk about an emotional momma). I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

The End of the School Year means time for a PARTY!! This year we had a Luau Bash. Talk about a fun time. We had a few of our best friends over because what's a party if you can't enjoy it with your friends.
Dancing is always a must at Casa De Vega
 Karaoke, well of course.
Scooter riding in our grass skirt and lei.
I had a house of loud, silly, giggling, dancing, singing, happy girls. I wouldn't have it any other way. Whats a few more girls right?
These two have been best friends since the womb.
You can't have a house full of girls without makeup
Luau Bash 2016 was a success.
Main Street Festival Fun
Best friends get their faces painted together.
Soft baby bunnies make the best cuddle buddies.
This was the first goat I have ever picked up. I think my inner country girl is coming to life. I feel in love with this sweet pygmy goat even though she tried to eat my earrings. I tried to convince Mr V that I need a goat in my life but I'm still goat less.
Our Church St Agnes had a carnival and the girls had a blast.
This sweet kitty cat posed for a swing photo.
Tulsa Zoo was a great first trip for our Summer Break
The weather was gorgeous so we took a few pictures in the park. I love how they came out. These are my favorite peeps in the whole wide world!
Whatever this weekend has in store for you make sure you spend it with those you love
Eat yummy food ( Fish tacos from our favorite local restaurant, Staches)
Make memories
Dance like No one is watching
Just have Fun and count your blessings! Hope everyone has a fabulous Memorial Weekend.                                                                Xo LadyMVega

"The days are long, but the years are short." - Gretchen Rubin

Motherhood! How does one sum it up, describe it, explain it or determine its value? It truly is a priceless experience in every way- its the most humbling, challenging and fulfilling thing in my life. Motherhood has made me cry tears of all sorts, it has loosened those heart strings and opened up my heart in a way that I will forever be grateful for. It has made me vastly more patient in some ways and has lessened my patience in others- namely the B.S sometimes life throws your way. I have a list of the drama filled B.S. I no longer have time for or surround myself with. there is this connection you feel with other mothers and women, sometimes their experiences and hardships are the same things you have been through, going threw or will one day go through. I know the unconditional love they have for their children and in some way that makes me feel connected to them. Mothers are extraordinary - I have yet to meet a weak one. I am so honored to be one, and so happy they have a day designed to honor all Mothers out there.
As I type and think about how fast these years have gone by already, I have a lump in my throat and a bit of temporary blurred vision ( told you I have cried many different kinds of tears). Yes, the days can be long and tiring sometimes but we must remember how fast the years pass by, because suddenly we will be wishing for these chaotic loud endless days and nights once again.
Life races on and so do they.

So for this moment in time...

Take it all in

Love these day to day moments.

Happy Mother's Day to you all, XO Ladymvega
