Friday Favorite's.. End of School Day's!!!

It's FRIDAY!!!
I thought it was NEVER going to get here, I've MOM SO hard this week, man do I need this Friday! Plus it's the LAST Friday of the school year, can I get a HALLELUJAH!!!

Right now, I'm sitting at the doctor's office with K2, we are thinking she has strep!! #sickgermsgoaway  #strepsucks

Friday posts are usually me linking up with some amazing women ErikaNarci and Andrea sharing our Friday favorites. You can link up to, all you  have to do is go to one of their pages and link your post to theirs, easy enough right?

Here are a few of my favorite's from this week...

I found this little gem at Walmart and I LOVE this lotion! It has a subtle smell it to that last all day. I like fresh clean scents that aren't to overpowering and this one nails it!! Not to mention how soft it makes me skin feel.

My new Michael Kor's bag is my go to bag right now. It has a lot of room and little pockets and zippers to hide my junk, lol. Plus the color is Hot Pink, which is so fun and so me. Thanks to my sweet momma for the surprise gift, she is the best!! She knows me so well.

It's the end of the school year which means my two older girls had their awards assembly. I was so proud of them, they worked really hard this year and their hard work paid off. I love sharing in this moments with my kiddos. Time is passing by so quickly and I try my best to make a point to cherish moments with them.

K2 in blue shorts in the middle bottom row

Unfortunately in Kindergarten they do not have awards ceremonies or even a graduation, so K3 didn't get to have any of that but next year she will and she is stoked about that!! She did however go to volleyball camp. She LOVED it, and even won a Gatorade for being motivated to learn! That Gatorade was the highlight of her week!

oh yeah we also made celebration brownies and she got to lick the whisk!! I was mom of the year at that moment #momwin

We made K3's classmates end of the year goodie bags and she got to buy what she wanted to give them.

We found these adorable ice cream bubbles at the Dollar tree and we had to buy them! Look at them, aren't they the cutest and they scream SUMMER!!!

We found these adorable watermelon printable tags. To us watermelon is a must for summertime!!

K3's little goodie bags have her written all over them. She loves these gummies, she is a sucker for stickers and we always have bubbles in our house because to her they are the coolest thing!

I am looking forward to many summer night's outside sitting on our porch watching the girls play. Mr V and the girls put up my tiki torches and fire pit so I cant wait to use it endlessly!!

K1 & K2 brought home their daddy/daughter dance pictures and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! Just    look at them, oh have they grown! K2 is going to be in 4th grade and K1 is starting Middle School      ( which I am having a hard time dealing with, it seems like yesterday I was leaving her at prek for the first time).

Remember lovelies its the little things that make up a lifetime of memories..

Here are a few pictures from last year's end of the school year...

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

Happy Friday Lovelies!!

SHOW & TELL TUESDAY: MEMORY LANE...

Hey, lovelies, it's Show & Tell Tuesday!!

Twice a month my friend Andrea host a link up where we show and tell you something. Today's topic: A trip down memory lane.

I honestly didn't have any topic planned to blog about until last night K2 found my stash of Babysitters Club books from when I was younger, and thought this is perfect. Andrea's prompt says to show and tell favorite childhood stuff, so hold on tight while I take you back through a few of my must haves "back in the day!!"

The Babysitters Club books and eventually movies were to me what Harry Potter and Twilight are to this generation. Even back then I was a book nerd, I read those books over and over again. It was to the point of me and my group of friends were planning our own " Babysitters club." We all picked our characters that we thought represented us, I was Claudia. Through the years and many moves I unfortunately no longer have my whole collection but I do have more then half, and now my older girls enjoy reading them just as much as I did.

Cabbage Patch Dolls were to me what American Girl Dolls are to my girls. I took one everywhere I went. When I saw a new one I HAD to have it. They were everything to me!  My grandmother kept my dolls but unfortunately I lived in another state when she passed away and all her things along with the items she saved from our childhood were thrown away. Even though I don't have the actual dolls with me, I have a lifetime of happy memories being those dolls " mommy".

Troll Dolls were my next must have items. How can you not love dolls with jewels for belly buttons and hair you can just swirl around over and over! I spent lots of time spinning those troll dolls between my hands and watching their hair. Isn't it funny that my girls now love the new Troll movie that came out?

YES!!! New Kids on the Block I didn't like them I was obsessed with them! I'm talking about blankets, sleeping bags, slippers, posters, shirts, buttons and every single song they made kind of obsessed!! My cousin and I would make up dances to all their songs. I loved them!!

Scrunchies, side ponytail with puffy bangs, and bedazzled shirt rings were my go to outfit! Every picture or memory from my childhood has those huge scrunchies with a side ponytail and awful puffy bangs. Even at a young age I LOVED fashion.

Sweet sweet Lisa Frank. Another obsession of mine, everything in my backpack was hers. I had her folders, pencils, pencil cases, notebooks, binders and of course her stickers that covered all my folders. I was a walking ad for Lisa Frank and scrunchies 😉

And this was my FAVORITE from her..

...my Trapper Keeper!! I remember starting the first day of school with a new trapper keeper thinking I was the coolest kid in elementary school and I was ready to learn new stuff with my school supplies tucked away in my trapper keeper. Oh how I LOVED those things!!

I'm pretty sure everyone around my age watched either Saved by the Bell or Boy meets World.
I watched both and was madly in love with Zach Morris but I bet every girl my age has that memory as part as her trip down memory lane. I watched their spin off of their college years and wedding movie special. I wanted to be Kelly so bad every time I watched this show.
Boy meets World was my other favorite. Topanga's hair was perfect I wanted it. Now my girls love to watch Girl meets World.  Isn't funny how all these things come back around??

Sanrio Store, I can still smell the store every time I think back of a memory that includes my cousin. She was obsessed with Hello Kitty and all their little characters. My cousin who is more like my sister would always buy something from there, and I always wanted to be just like her so I would buy an eraser or little notebook so I could have something too. I don't know if she even knows how much I looked up to her wand wanted to be just like her!!

POGS... I remember playing with these for hours, my friends and I would take these to school and play them during recess all the time. I collected so many of them, I wonder where they went?? Did anyone else love playing with these??

Ouch bubble gum, lucas and hubba gum, was something I always had on me or was eating.
Who doesn't want to chew gum that looks like a bandadie right? Hubba Bubba was my favorite I would get a big helping of it place it in my mouth and chew on it with my mouth open smacking around that gum that hurt my jaw, ewww gross right! I don't know why my mom let me chew that stuff!! Recently Mr V found a place not far from where we live that sells lucas so every now and then we get some and I have a trip down memory lane!!

So there you have it a few things down my memory lane. I cant wait to read everyone Else's memories especially those around my age to see what I was missing!! Please share so we can reminisce together!!

Here are a few fun pictures of my childhood...
Enjoy.....

Comparison is the thief of joy...

I just want to get real with you for a minute... I'm going to try to keep this simple and to the point. I told myself that when I blogged I would be real, talk about the good, the bad, the ugly and the fabulous of my life. It's not always glamorous, that's for sure.

Let's talk about comparison for just a hot minute. It's something that I've have struggled with for a long time and it's been on my heart lately. These last few months it's been and off and on issue for me. And it truly comes down to it being an heart issue.
I have been struggling with comparing myself to other moms, business owners, leaders, blogger's and sometimes even other Catholics. We've all heard the quote " Comparison is the thief of joy." and listen up... it TRULY is. I found myself swimming in  self-doubt, self-pity and just pure defeat. I was getting so caught up in what other people were doing, that I was losing sight of why I started following my own passions. I knew I was being called to follow and pursue my passions, to do more then the life I was currently living, to create the future God wanted for my family, and to walk faithfully in the path in life he set before me, but when I let that doubt set in... I wasn't being the best version of myself in any means. I wasn't faithfully trusting in him like he asked me too.
So after a few days of feeling down in the dumps about things, I made the decision to deal with this heart issue. I have been turning to God in prayer, looking to him for guidance and trusting him to place the right people in my life to lead me to HIS calling not my own. I have already been given such a sense of peace and know that is he is working on me. That in itself is so comforting. You may or may not be able to relate to this, but I hope in some way I can speak hope into some of you. If you're feeling like your not good enough or you're just feeling down in the dumps, you MUST turn to God to bring you that confidence, only he can fill those empty spaces, you know the ones, those spaces in your heart that feel like no matter what you do or buy there is always something missing. No amount of money, physical change, recognition, or status will fill that void. And comparising your story to other's will get you nowhere.

"YOU WILL SEEK ME AND FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART."
Jeremiah 29:13

Friday Favorites- A little bit of this and a whole lot of that edition...

Happy Friday, lovelies!!! This week has been another busy one for the books and I have a fun and short list of FAVORITES to share!!

This week has me like this..

EXHAUSTED!!
Apparently even Buddha has had a busy week for the books. Just kidding our cat's are just lazy and look for any excuse to sleep, this is his favorite way to sleep. He covers his eyes when the light is on, even our cats are DIVAS!!

One of my FAVORITE pictures taken in the middle of the week hands down has to be
 this one...

We just got home from jujitsu and she asked if she could play a little before our bedtime routine ( bath, teeth brushing, story and bed) and I think a little imaginative playtime never hurts anyone. Next thing I see is this sweet girl dressed as "mom" and I LOVED it! Talk about melting my heart she said she was practicing being me because " I want to be a mom just like you". Those are those mommy moments when you know you're making a difference. Sometimes those moments aren't that noticeable so when they happen make sure you take that time and thank God for sending you that little reminder that your efforts aren't going unnoticed.

My girls got a phone call from their Nana ( my mom) this week and asked if she could hire them to pick up some sticks and pine cones in her back yard. They are learning to work for their own money to buy things they want. So we headed to my parents and they went to work.

Of course they stopped here and there for a quick song and dance. Since my kids were working and I just got off work,  I seized the moment and did one of my favorite things. I sat in my parents wooden rocking chair under the sun and read.

I cant help it, I have always been a book worm. There is something about picking up a book and reading page after page that I find so peaceful and exciting. I don't like reading on nooks, kindles or on my phone, I love the feel of an actual book in my hands, feeling the pages and  devouring every word. I LOVE the smell of old books, the older the better. Mr V laughs at me because he just isn't a" book nerd" like I am, but one of my most FAVORITE smells, is the smell of a library. There is something about it, Ill walk in close my eyes and take a big long whiff of the air and I always whisper the words mmm smells like knowledge.

As I sit here writing this post K1, K2 & Mr V are at a Father/daughter dance. This is K1's third year attending the dance and her final year because next year she will be in junior high and she will be going to actual school dances, with boys! Oh it makes me emotional just thinking about how fast she is growing up!! I have a love/hate relationship with that but that's a whole other post.

Look at those pictures, how precious is the love between a father and his daughter!! Pink bow is her 3rd grade year and glasses is 4th grade! I cant wait to add her 5th grade picture!! I couldn't help but snap tons before they left here are a few of my Favorite. K1 loves the "duck face" pose and since she is 11 I don't say anything, lol!!

K2 was so excited for her first Father/daughter dance. She was nervous and excited it was precious!! I cant wait to get her picture from the dance so she can have her own memories like K1! You know I couldn't resist taking pictures of her as well.  K2 isn't sure about the whole " funny pose" she is my serious child and is trying to discover where she fits on the humor scale, as you can see in her picture with Mr. V. I just adore her!!

Well that end's my Favorites of this week. K3 has a friend over while big sister's are out at their dance. Pictures to come later.

Have a blessed weekend lovelies.
